Vision
Every child born on the earth should have the opportunity to receive education. The foundation ‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ wants to work specifically for children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam.

Mission
‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ supports children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam so they have safe access to school. Many children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam live in the mountains, in high remote areas and often have to travel a great distance to go to school or have no chance at all to go to school.

Purpose
‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ aims to give children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam access to good and accessible education, good nutrition and a safe environment. So they can develop on an equal footing with all other children.

Profile
‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ is a foundation established in August 2021 with the aim to give children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam access to good and accessible education, good nutrition and a safe environment. So they can develop on an equal footing with all other children.

The foundation ‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ was set up in the Netherlands by initiator Mrs. Huong Ho. Huong Ho was born in Vietnam herself and feels closely involved in the interests of children of ethnic minorities in Vietnam. From her own experience she can say that the chance of a worthy life is many times greater if children receive a good education. Unfortunately, this is often not the case for children of ethnic minorities in the remote areas in Northern Vietnam.

“Through years of experience in programs to help children to develop, I find the most painful problem is the safety and illiteracy of children born in a poor place. Millions of children have no access to a school and so lose their right to education, while good education is the most essential condition for integration in society and life All children are equal. I created this program to protect the rights and interests of children in early childhood. I target those who have the least chance of going to school.” - Mrs. Huong Ho

‘Help Ethnic Children in Vietnam’ tries to achieve its goal by:
Support of existing schools in areas in Northern Vietnam with mainly ethnic minorities, with money and resources.

This can mean:
Renovating an existing school or building a new school. Taking care of sanitation, water and daily food. Ensuring a living income for the teachers and possibly providing accommodation for them.

To achieve the intended objectives the foundation will collect money through active fundraising in the Netherlands and other countries. The money spent in Vietnam goes 100% to the project for which it is intended at that time. The foundation does not aim to make a profit.

The foundation aims for maximum transparency about the spending of the funds and the results of the donated donations.

Our foundation has local contacts in Vietnam, we know the culture and some of us speak the language. We are in direct contact with the local government, with the current head of the schools and local contractors. Because our local contacts, there is certainty that 100% of the money ends up in the right place.
